Şirince, located 8 kilometers from Selçuk in İzmir Province, is a well-preserved tourist village. In the 19th century, Şirince was a Greek settlement with approximately 1,800 households, renowned for its fig exports. The village boasts a rich cultural heritage, featuring historic Greek churches and Ottoman mosques. Şirince is also celebrated for its wines; visitors can visit local wineries to sample a diverse range of wines and gain insights into the winemaking process. Additionally, the local markets offer fresh fruits, vegetables, olives, and regional products, alongside a variety of handmade souvenirs. The village is home to restaurants where one can experience traditional Turkish cuisine.
